Gender wage gap in labor force market is one of the themes for labor economic research. With economics’ development and time changes, it’s significant for China to put forward the 13 th Five-Year Plan(2016-2020). China will step up supply-side structural reforms and optimize and upgrade industrial structure. Thus will lead to the reform and transition in structure of the industrial. That alteration will bring some influence to gender wage gap which is a problem need to be solved immediately. From China’s reforming and opening up to now, we have a different industry structure with planned economic system. Learn history will help us to understand alteration of the society. It has a significance realistic and guiding meaning for us that research the influence on industry structure’s transition to gender wage gap. It will better for government to make policy that make income equality. By the limit of China’s micro-data, many economist has already research the gender wage gap with different perspective, and find that discrimination lead to the gap. But nobody study the issue in the perspective of industry, which is this article’s standpoint and innovation point.This paper use the theory of human capital, discrimination and industry reforming as basic theories, use literature, investigation and research method and empirical study with econometric and the CHIP(1995,2007) data set. Based on survey, analysis this period’s gender gap and industries transformation, try to find a conclusion in view of the situation of China.Specifically, the paper is divided into five parts.The first is the introduction, which introduce the background, research methods and structure of paper. The second part is literature review, which present all of wage determination theory in labor market and wage gap theory, then give us the latest progress and comment. The third part present the theoretical model, empirical methods and data, which describe the income determination model, the decomposition method this paper used and setting of related variables. Then is the empirical part. In this part, we analyze the transformation of the structure of industry and employment, and decompose the mean data and distribution data. We get two conclusion. First is gender wage gap is narrow in service sector with manufacture sector. Second is the gap is improved because female distribute in service sector which add less value and low wages with the transformation. Based these conclusion, we put some advice for policy makers. The last is a summary and outlook. This part sum up the basic viewpoint and conclusion, then indicate the shortcomings and the direction for future stud.
