Research On Construction Of Public Service Platform Of Small And Medium Sized Enterprises In Industrial Clusters

Industrial clusters has become a common mode in regional economic development. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) as an important part of industrial clusters, have played an irreplaceable role in increasing revenue, increasing employment and promoting the development of region economic. Compared with the large enterprises in industrial clusters, SMEs have great disadvantages in scale, capital, technology, experience, and have greater pressure in the market competition. As an effective means to support the development of SMEs, the construction of public service platform in industrial cluster, can meet the common needs of SMEs in technology, management, etc. Moreover, SMEs in the industrial cluster are closer in geographic, the construction of public service platforms in the cluster can help SMEs easily access services they need, and also can help to enhance the efficiency of the platform.Because the construction of public service platforms for SMEs in industrial cluster is still in the exploratory stage, there are many problems in this stage, which could restrict the service efficiency of the public service platforms. This thesis researched the construction of public service platforms in Laiwu of Shandong Province, by questionnaires and interviews, in order to find out the current situation and problems of public service platforms, and analyzed the cause of the problems. Finally the thesis proposed some solutions for three different types of service platforms.The thesis was divided into five chapters, the chapter one was an introduction, including the background, significance, research ideas and research framework, mainly focusing on the literature review of industrial clusters and public service platforms. The chapter two defined the research object, and analyzed the property of the public service platform as public goods, then introduced the characteristics and classification of public service platforms, and also discussed the necessity of construction for public service platforms in theory. The chapter three analyzed the results of the questionnaires, researched the current situation of public service platforms in the industrial clusters in Laiwu. The chapter four discussed the problems of public service platforms for SMEs in the industrial clusters of Laiwu, and analyzed the reasons for the problems. The chapter five proposed some solutions on how to promote different types of service platforms for SMEs in industrial clusters.
