The Study On Planning And Layout Of Market In A Medium-Sized City

More and more scholars pay much attention to the research in the field of the bazaars layout. The focus of foreign studies has extended from theory to practice, while domestic studies still focus on theoretical research covering areas like history, space, time and structure of bazaar. Based on research results at home and abroad, this paper aims to analyze the bazaar layout in medium-sized cities under the social context of our country through linking theory with practice.It’s no doubt that bazaars are indispensable to city business and is closely bounded to citizen’s daily life. This paper makes horizontal contrast on the development of domestic and foreign bazaars and analyzes the development trend of city business. Based on this, this paper analyzes the history and current situation of the bazaar to provide direction for bazaar development.Domestic bazaars are in a better development and transformation stage but are constrained by factors of present economy, society and living habits. Thus China’s trade bazaar development can not be achieved in one action. We should research on the future bazaar layout according to its existing problems.This paper cites the bazaar layout of Yucheng City, Shandong Province, as an example, fully demonstrates methods and aims of the research, also problems existing in bazaar planning process occurring in medium-sized cities. Firstly, by analyzing the development status of China’s economy development and features of small and medium business, together with field trips on Yucheng bazaars, the author raises questions about the status of domestic bazaars. Secondly, by studying on relevant researches at home and abroad and the related bazaar layout theory, the author determines the purpose and significance of this research.The planning layout of Yucheng City aims to solve problems in three levels: Firstly, we plan on the city bazaars according to its scale and position to make sure the future layout can be in accordance with the previous plan. Secondly, we put the bazaar of most needed transformation into the first position, plan them from the near to the distant to increase the efficiency of bazaar planning. Thirdly, we will solve the exited problems such as street bazaars, scarce bazaars and roadsiln recent years, Yucheng City has made enormous efforts in bazaar layout planning.In recent years, Yucheng City has made enormous efforts in bazaar layout planning. However, based on my investigations, not many of them have achieved very successful results. Therefore, taking Yucheng’s practices as study cases, I would like to analyze the current situation, problems and development tendency of bazaar planning in Yucheng and to get the city an effective solution and to get the research certain theoretical results. The research results will not only meet citizen’s daily needs but also benefit the city’s business growth.This paper take layout planning of bazaars in medium-sized cities as the object of study and conduct a detailed discussion on the layout planning of bazaars of Yucheng. This paper is divided into five chapters.Chapter One introduces research backgrounds including the latest research results at home and abroad as well as related theories. The final part of this chapter indicates purposes of the research and the methods it applies.Chapter Two gives the definition of bazaar and introduces theories like urban economics, commercial geography, the central place theory and planning theory for commercial community.Chapter Three mainly demonstrates the development course and tendency of bazaar planning.Chapter Four introduces cases of Yucheng City including investigation results and general planning of its bazaars.Chapter Five is mainly about the layout of bazaars of Yucheg and the author’s suggestions.Chapter Six is the conclusion of the whole paper.
