Research On Performance Evaluation Of Grid Enterprises Based On Value-based Management

Grid enterprises are the important basic power ones in our country, and play an important role in national economy and social development. The base situation of "ease at two ends, tight in the middle" after power system reform caused an impact on the development of Grid enterprises, which also requires the grid enterprises to have a good knowledge of its operation status, to strengthen management and to improve the level of performance. Thus, it is of great significance to build a practically valuable business performance evaluation system, which can help to break the bottleneck, seek a new growth point, provide reasonable strategies and achieve long-term development for the grid enterprises.The business performance evaluation index system and its method study of grid enterprises were studied based on value-based management in this paper. Based on the academic studies of value-based management and business performance at home and abroad, the study firstly expounded and summarized the basic theory of enterprise value and value-based management, and then introduced several driving factors which may improve the performance of grid enterprises. After proposing evaluation principles and criteria of evaluation system established, expert scoring method is applied to select the key performance indicators. Considering the operating characteristics of grid enterprises, performance evaluation index system is founded. On one hand the system adopted the integrated value theory which combines economic value, social value and environmental value; on the other hand it reflected the operating condition, assets quality, performance and level of service. The system combines the scientific value-based management theory and management practice, so it is more suitable for grid enterprises. Based on the performance index system, synthesizing the merits of Structure Entropy Method and TOPSIS evaluation method, the business performance of six grid enterprises was measured and analyzed as a case through SEM-TOPSIS, and the synthesis overcomes the insufficient of single method which make the evaluation results more reliable. According to the research on comprehensive evaluation of grid enterprises’ business performance, this paper is aiming at providing theoretical and practical references for the future decision makers.
