At present, Chinese economic development is in a transition period, entering a "new normal" stage. Especially with the "Internet plus" and intelligent era coming, enterprises are facing restructuring and upgrading, and the enterprise employees also bear the increasing job stress. Excessive job stress has a negative impact on the physical, psychological and behavioral aspects of the employee. It has caused great losses to the family, the enterprise and the society. In western society, job stress is seen as the second major cause of occupational disease. Meanwhile, emotional exhaustion caused by work will also bring a lot of negative effects. It will not only affect the physical and mental health of employees, but also affect the organizational performance and organizational efficiency. How to manage the job stress and improve the employees’ emotional exhaustion is the urgent problem to be solved enterprise management practice.Based on the research background, this paper do a theoretical analysis of relationship between job stress, psychological detachment from work and emotional exhaustion, and put forward that psychological detachment as a kind of individual psychological cognition, which plays a certain role in the relationship between job stress and emotional exhaustion. We use theoretical analysis method and empirical research method to introduce psychological detachment from work as a moderator between job stress and emotional exhaustion. Then, we build the hypothetical model of relationship of these variables and put forward relevant hypothesis. Subsequently, we take enterprise employees in the Yangtze River Delta as the empirical object and conduct a questionnaire survey, using Excel and SPSS22.0 for statistical analysis. We use correlation analysis, regression analysis and hierarchical regression analysis to test the effects of job stress on employees’ emotional exhaustion and the role of psychological detachment from work in job stress and emotional exhaustion. Finally, according to the results of empirical analysis, we put forward some effective measures and suggestions to manage job stress and improve the level of psychological detachment from work.
