The development of science and technology, the reform of society, the adjustment of organizations, and the competition among enterprises will all exert work stress on the personnel in the organization. The excessive work stress has gradually become a problem that organizations and members have to face in real life.Studies have shown that individual work stress is too large, will produce a series of physiological, psychological and behavioral reactions, emotional exhaustion is one of them.Emotional exhaustion will not only lead to inefficient work of employees, but also reduce job satisfaction and resignation. For enterprises,it will also cause the loss of their talent capital, affect their development strategies, and hinder the healthy development of enterprises. The mid-level of the enterprise as the central axis of the organization,is also bound to face this problem. This paper starts from the study of the relationship between middle-level work stress, personality traits and emotional exhaustion, and discusses the effect of work stress on emotional exhaustion and the regulation of personality traits.Firstly,it discusses the theoretical and realistic background, theoretical and practical significance of the research topic, and clarifies the overall framework of the research. In the research, the research method combining theory and empirical is adopted, and the research is carried out in two stages. The first stage is the related literature review.By consulting relevant literatures at home and abroad, collecting relevant information and information, and proposing research hypotheses and theoretical models. And conduct questionnaire design and investigation, collect relevant data, and prepare for the second phase of empirical research. The second stage is empirical research.Combining the data collected in the previous period and using SPSS and LISREL statistical analysis software to perform factor analysis on variables, correlation analysis between variables, regression analysis, etc.,verify the research hypothesis and obtain the research results. The results of this paper show that:(1)The work stress of middle-level managers of enterprises is divided into three dimensions, namely work task stress, role conflict stress and career development stress.(2)There is a significant relationship between work stress and emotional exhaustion in middle-level managers.Work task stress, career development stress and emotional exhaustion are significantly positively correlated.Work task stress and career development stress can positively predict emotional exhaustion.(3)The big five personality traits of middle-level managers in enterprises can moderate work stress and emotional exhaustion.Extroversion has positive moderating effect in the case of emotional exhaustion caused by occupational development stress, and pleasantness produces emotional exhaustion in role conflict stress. In the case of positive moderating effect,Neuroticism has a negative moderating effect in the case of emotional exhaustion caused by occupational stress, and there is a positive moderating effect in the case of emotional exhaustion caused by role conflict stress, and there is no moderating effect of conscientiousness and openness.Through empirical research,we have learned the current situation of work stress and emotional exhaustion in the middle of the enterprise.Based on the research results,we put forward suggestions for work stress management, enriched the theory of work stress research, and provided reference for current enterprises to improve organizational performance and human resource management.opinion.
