Research On The Correlation Between Industrial Integration And Manufacturing Upgrading

Chinese people were once proud of "Made in China". However, the current China’s manufacturing industry is facing the dual challenges form developed and developing countries, on the one hand is advanced manufacturing reflux of developed countries (such as the United States industrialization strategy and German industrial 4.0 strategy), on the other hand is industrial transfer due to low production factors of developing countries. China wants to win in the pattern of double attack, must accelerate the growth of the manufacturing industry and realize the low technology industries to shift to the high technology industry, and take the road of industry convergence is a good choice. Triple play presented by Wen Jiabao and Li Keqiang’s "Internet plus" plan shows that industry convergence is becoming a trend, the traditional manufacturing industry also gradually received its influence, and it leads to the blurring of industry boundary and the complexity of industrial structure. This trend of industry convergence will have a profound impact on the upgrading of manufacturing industry in China.In this paper, the industrial integration is divided into two aspects, the internal integration of the industry and the integration between different industries. Then from the above two aspects we discussed the correlation between industrial integration and the manufacturing industry upgrade.In order to study the correlation between the internal integration of industry and the upgrading of manufacturing industry, This paper takes the integration of the new generation information technology industry in the Yangtze River Delta region and the traditional manufacturing industry as an example. We use the method of coupling model and SPSS software to carry on the empirical research, and draws the conclusion:the traditional manufacturing industry in the Yangtze River Delta has a positive correlation between the integration of strategic emerging industries and the upgrading of manufacturing industry.In order to study the correlation between integration of manufacturing and other industries and manufacturing upgrading, This paper takes The integration of manufacturing and productive service industry in the Yangtze River Delta as an example. We use input-output model and Eviews software to establish a general model of national economic statistics, and draws the conclusion:the traditional manufacturing industry in the Yangtze River Delta has a positive correlation between the integration of productive service industry and the upgrading of manufacturing industry.To sum up, whether industrial integration occurs in the manufacturing industry or manufacturing industry and other industries, there is a positive correlation between the industrial integration and manufacturing upgrading. Based on the conclusion of this study, this paper also puts forward some policy suggestions to promote the upgrading of the manufacturing industry.
