The number of international manufacturing is getting larger and larger. The big pressure of global competition made lot of enterprises seeking better way to enhance company productivity and improve enterprises’ performance. Human source plays very important role in it, performance management and performance assess is the major way to enhance the work enthusiasm of employee and improve enterprises’ performance. However, lot of foreign company’s performance assess quite different with local environment due to the language, culture, custom difference with mother country, especially the medium and small size foreign company which employees are not completely locally. The performance assess would be useless if overlook cross-culture background and the proper analysis of employee. The performance assess from head office is not suitable for the branch in 3rd country, it will easy break employee’ work enthusiasm and make unsatisfied result. So, it is really necessary to research the suitable performance assess for intellectual employee under cross-culture background.This article made analysis through a Belgium branch company in China ECG shanghai. According to the related theory of performance assess, cross-culture and intellectual employee incentive, taking the method of questionnaire survey, interview and case study to analyze the current performance assess of ECG. Came up with the problems that overlook the cross-culture factor and the character of intellectual employee, current performance assess not in system and don’t have proper communication system. It made the performance result can’t reflect to the real work performance, current performance assess not in the same direction with company strategy, so lost the function of enhance productivity,help achieve company strategy target.So, the author hold the opinion that the performance assess have to according to company situation, especially the enterprises under cross-culture background have to take the consideration of company &employee background when design performance plan and performance system. Make clear picture of every position and position target to get the reasonable performance indicator. The article also analyzed the supporting measures for the feasibility of new performance audit optimized design. The performance assess should specialized according to different character of the intellectual employee, make the performance assess more helpful and useful: help improve work enthusiasm and creative, enhance work efficiency of different nationality, improve company performance and help achieve company strategy target. So that could help company succeed in competition environment. |
