Study On The Evaluation Of Agricultural Products Circulation Efficiency Based On DEA In The Eastern And Central Regions

At present, the main contradiction of the development in agricultural product industry has shifted from the production field to the market circulation.Eastern and Central Regions take the lead in the agricultural products circulation as it’s economic development advantage,but there are also a series of problems, so agricultural products circulation efficiency in Eastern and Central Regions is concerned.This study is based on the empirical analysis,focusing on the following aspects:firstly, we study the integration of agricultural products market in the eastern provinces of China and even the whole country via relative price variance analysis method, and analyze the efficiency of agricultural products circulation from the evolution trend and the regional difference.Secondly, we analyze the agricultural products circulation efficiency comprehensively based on the cross-DEA model by the logical order of the total to the points and the horizontal to the vertical.Finally, we analyze the effectiveness of agricultural products circulation management during the investigation combining the cross-DEA model with Two-stage relative evaluation model which is in order to affirm the subjective efforts on improving the efficiency of agricultural products circulation.This research find that the IMS value of agricultural products market tends to be reduced in fluctuations, market integration is good and the regional differences are not obvious in the initial evaluation. Moreover, the efficiency of agricultural products circulation presents an up-trend and the ranking of each province is relatively stable in the last nine years.It is showed that the efficiency is generally low especially via the model based on the most inferior frontal plane which means most provinces manifest obvious disadvantages and circulation management needs to be strengthened.In the end we will explore the effect of market segmentation index on the efficiency of agricultural products circulation is the most (negative)via the Tobit model, in addition to the capital stock, other circulation carrier, channel, support and management factors degree are positively related to the efficiency of agricultural products circulation, and the degree of the explanatory variables is different.
