With the aggravation of the market competition, in order to make enterprises have access to better development in the intensely competitive market, more and more administrators are concerned about the problem that how to effectively improve the operating performance of enterprises. Under this circumstance, as a way to improve the operating performance effectively, stewardship of employees receives widespread concern from business community. Therefore, the study of employees’ stewardship is very important and significant.First, this study reviews the presented research outcomes on the psychological empowerment, psychological ownership and stewardship. On this basis, analyzing the relationship among the three variables by theoretical method, raising hypotheses and constructing the theoretical model. Besides, this study uses questionnaire to collect data, and make descriptive statistical analysis, reliability and validity analysis, variance analysis, correlation analysis and path analysis by SPSS19.0 and AMOS17.0.On the basis of the empirical analysis, this study mainly draws the following conclusions: first, psychological empowerment has a significant positive effect on stewardship. Second, psychological empowerment has a significant positive effect on psychological ownership. Third, psychological ownership has a significant positive effect on stewardship. Fourth, psychological ownership mediates psychological empowerment’s influence on stewardship.Based on the above research conclusion, this paper further expounds the enlightenment of conclusions brought to the enterprise manager: first, managers should pay attention to the subordinate staff’s psychological experience of empowerment. Besides, enterprise managers should attach great importance to the employees’ psychological ownership of work and organizations. What’s more, enterprise managers should pay attention to improve the staff’s working environment, to enhance the employees’ stewardship. In the end, this study put forward some prospects for future research.
