With the advent of economic globalization and knowledge, China’s manufacturing enterprises are facing internal and external environmental pressures and are undergoing extreme fundamental changes. The changes bring not only opportunities, but also challenges us to move the manufacturing enterprises from “made in China” to “created in China” through technological innovation and structural adjustment. This has become the key points for most of the manufacturing enterprises to get market competitive advantages.Competition between enterprises in the final analysis is the competition of talents,especially the excellent technicians who play a significant role in technological innovation and structural adjustment of enterprises. The importance not only raises the status of technicians, but also sets out to increase the role of technicians to be an important strategic resource and advantage for enterprises. As one of the most important means to attract and retain technicians,compensation has become very important in the present competitive environment. The use of such advanced concepts of modern salary management designed compensation systems, not only can effectively enhance employee sense of belonging and a sense of mission, but can also have a direct impact on staff productivity, creativity and efficiency.This study takes the compensation system of technicians of Hongyu Company as the research topic using questionnaires, factor-grading, interviews and other research methods. After analyzing the existing compensation system of the technicians, we then made an optimized design. After a deep analysis of the current situation of the technicians’ compensation system the problems and causes were outlined under the guidance of a theoretical basis. Then, according to the compensation strategy and basic principle and procedure of the compensations design, job revaluations were given to all the technicians, re positioning the compensation level structure and the optimized design compensation system to address the existing problems. Finally, proposed the compensation system implementation safeguard measures for Hongyu Company.In this study, we provide a workable solution for improving the compensation system for the technicians of Hongyu Company. The benefits will attract and retain skilled technicians and push the realization of the enterprises goals. It will also provide a reference model for technician compensation management and for other similar companies through its implementation.
