Research On The Construction Of The Credit Evaluation System For The Port Enterprises In Pearl River Delta

As the important node of waterway transport and hub for shipping service chain, port’s importance is self-evident. In recent years, with the rapid development of the port industry, many port enterprises have gradually began to transform towards the modern port enterprises which focus on service quality and comprehensive service ability. To promote the sustainable development of the port enterprises, we should not only pay attention to scientific and technological innovation, but also pay attention to enterprise management. Thus, the enterprise credit management is an important factor. As the basis of stable and healthy development of the market economic order in China, enterprise credit management is attached great importance by the national level, and plays an important role in the process of enterprise development. As a result, the port enterprises must pay attention to the construction of credit management system in the future for their sustainable development.Through combing large number of domestic and foreign research results about the theory of enterprise credit, we find that there are much research achievements in the field of economics and management, whereas the enterprise credit evaluation for port industry is seldom investigated. In view of this, this thesis takes the port enterprises in Pearl River Delta region as the research object, and establishes a multi-level comprehensive evaluation system for the port enterprises, which is based on the analysis of the current development of port enterprise credit evaluation system. Moreover, a practical example is given. The achievements are summarized as following.(1) Through the research and analysis, it is found that the study of credit evaluation for the port enterprises in Pearl River Delta is less rich, and the current index system and evaluation method are not scientific and reasonable enough, which cannot scientifically and comprehensively reflect the integrity level of the port enterprises in Pearl River Delta.(2) Based on lots of related research, concerned the actual business situation of the port enterprises, and guided by experts, the influential factors of the port enterprise integrity level are select scientifically and reasonably. Subsequently, a multi-tiered credit evaluation system, which is applicable to the port enterprises of Pearl River Delta, is established.(3) After comparative analysis of credit evaluation methods existed in domestic and foreign region and the actual index selection situation of the port enterprises, we apply the method to determine index weights, which combined Delphi Technique and the Analytic Hierarchy Process, and apply the multi-level comprehensive fuzzy evaluation method to evaluate the integrity level of the port enterprise.(4) Taking a specific port enterprise in the Pearl River Delta as an example, we verify the process and analyze the result for the credit evaluation index system and the evaluation method of the port enterprises, which proves the rationality and practicability of the multi-level credit evaluation model.
