Study On The Drum-tower Cultural Space In The Ninth Of Dong

Since China’s reform and opening up, China’s modernization advanced by leaps and bounds, concentrated reflection of industrialization and urbanization. In this process, China has made remarkable achievements in economy, but also facing some problems, one of them is the disappearance of traditional villages. China’s agricultural civilization sustained for thousands of years, it creating tens of thousands of traditional villages. These traditional villages contains the rich and colorful intangible cultural heritage, they plays a very important role to shaping the ethnic identity and national identity, we need to protect and inherit them. This is the background of this paper."Culture space" is the Education Scientific and Cultural Organization(UNESCO) defines as a types of important intangible cultural heritage.It is designed to protect those "space" that gather abundant in intangible cultural heritage as a whole. From the perspective of "culture space" to protect intangible cultural heritage has important function and meaning. The protection of intangible cultural heritage is becoming more and more attention in China, but the understanding of "culture space" is not consummate, there is no named after the "culture space" intangible cultural heritage now. In fact, our country is rich in "culture space", the Drum-Tower in Dong Minority’s traditional village has the typical characteristics of "culture space". Area of the Ninth of Dong is representative of the traditional culture of Dong’s area. This paper attempts take the Ninth of Dong as the research scope, Dong’s Drum-Tower as the research object, discussed the connotation of the culture space of Dong’s DrumTower in Ninth of Dong, and puts forward some Suggestions for its protection and inheritance. Try to contributing to the research of "cultural space", provide the basis for the protection and inheritance of Dong’s Drum-Tower.This paper expounds from two aspects. On the one hand for theoretical study. Widely collected the research of "culture space" and "Dong’ Drum-Tower" both here and abroad, through literature material analysis, the paper consider of as a type of the intangible cultural heritage, "culture space" has the connotation of cultural anthropology, human geography, architecture, and use the cultural space theory, regional theory, location theory as the theoretical support of this research. Think of Dong’ Drum-Tower is a typical culture space. On the other hand is a specific case studies. Through the field research method, regard the Dong’ Drum-Tower in Ninth Dong as the research object, analyzes the structure and the present situation of the culture space of Dong’s Drum-Tower. The paper consider the culture space of Dong’s Drum Tower make up by material basis and arts and crafts, culture of system, customs, the performing arts. Points out that the protect of culture space of dong’s Drum Tower exist some problems. Such as neglect of the intangible cultural heritage, lost the population to protect the Drum-Tower, the impact of external culture. The paper also throw out some suggestion. They include conversion concept, regard the Drum-Tower as cultural heritage but not cultural relic, and make the economic development to keep the population, and combine traditional and modern protect measures.
