In the past two years, the value expense of the operator department from S company financial department was quite high(up to 1.77 in 2013,and also staying at a high level at the first eight month in 2014),after doing an analysis, the main reason of causing the higher value expense is the influence of the production efficiency from the workshop. UPPH value is a most comprehensive index of reacting the production efficiency. The UPPH of MP product in S company is 5.66,which still have a large gap when compared with other’s similar products in the same industry who has a more than 7 UPPH value, which will exert a serious influence on the corporation competitiveness.This article is combining theory with practice, selecting MP product in S company as a research object. Firstly through testing MP product, on a basis of which not being improved; analyzing the testing data, and then get the level of the UPPH value of MP product in production line. Secondly calculate ST standard time with AWF method through segmenting every action, and then optimize ST standard time and rearrange the process of the production line according to the process optimizing figure and IE ECRS method. After optimized ST standard time and reset the SOP for the MP product, obviously improved results have been achieved from these aspects: on one hand, the standard of the improved UPPH value is obtained; on the other hand, ST standard time is decreased, but line balance efficiency is increased. Finally, assessment of the improved results has realisticsignificance.The UPPH value of MP product in S company has gone up to 7.1 from the former data of 5.66 through making this improvement, which has been increased by 25.4%. In the form of monetary equivalent, extraeconomic benefit about more than 1 million will be brought for one production line every year, which has reached at the standard of thesimilar products in the same industry, met the scheduled target.At the same time, this research on improvement of production efficiency of MP product helps the IE staffs understand well how to use AWF method in production practice, and helps us to establish a standard method of efficiency improvement, which will have a very practical reference for the similar applying.
