Research On The Measurement Of Urban Touristification Deveiopment Level:A Casestudy Of Xi’an City

Touristification, together with tourist industry, is a process of integrative development and a phenomenon of tourism system development. Touristification means scenic spots are effected by tourist activities, the tourism value of scenic spots is promoted and the tourism function is developed. China is noted for a large population, and it has large scale potential tourism market. For the purpose of meeting the demands of tourism market, tourist industry and other industries have evolved out brand new tourism form, which becomes the direct driving force to promote regional development. Touristifiction, after urbanization, will become an important motive force of the development of our country. Cities, as main bases for the development of tourist industry, are important tourism destinations. The ability of accommodation of the cities is higher, the tourist economy gets a higher position in city economy, tourism function has become a common function foe the development of modern cities and some cities have developed into tourism cities. People are becoming more and more concerned about city tourism.The research on city tourism has enriched the theory of touristification and city tourist industry. City tourism, as a irrelative variance to the scale of tourist reception of regional, reflects the scale of tourist reception, the position of tourist economy in city economy, the economic development degree and the tourist attraction ability, is an vital standard to measure the development degree of city tourism. The measuring method of this paper can also be applied to research other cities’ touristification evolution rule and to comparatively study the touristification degree of different cities.this paper will start with the concept of urban tourism, try to establish a relatively perfect urban touristification,and analyze the stage of Xi’an urban touristification,analysis of the status and function of tourism industry in Xi’an,and find out the factors restricting the development of touristification in Xi’an.countermeasures and suggestions on the development of tourism in Xi’an.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1) Urban touristification is a phenomenon of the development of urban tourism system,and it is the process of urban tourism function promotion.This paper argues that, city tourism is the city as a tourist destination in order to meet the growing demand of tourism,tourism economic function is strong, the tourist industry has made the process of urban tourism function promotion.(2)Based on the research of literature and combined with previous research results,the paper selects the evaluation index from 4 angles of tourism demand, tourism supply, tourism economy and tourism industry.Finally, the evaluation index system of urban tourism is constructed by the experts for the final selection of 10 indicators.(3)From 2001 to 2013, the overall level of Xi’an touristification showed an upward trend.Among them, from 2001 to 2009, Xi’an touristification at a low level, the wave of the development of the state,especially in 2003 by the "SARS" epidemic affected the freezing point for nearly ten years.From 2009 to 2013 is the rapid development stage of Xi’an touristification.Xi’an tourism industry reception scale gradually become larger, the tourism industry’s economic contribution rate is high, the tourism industry concentration is high, urban tourism function has been promoted, tourism function is the main function of Xi’an city.(4)Xi’an touristification development is easily affected by the external environment, which reflects the vulnerability of the tourism industry.The number of visitors per day is less, the tourism industry and the third industry association is low, which restricts the development of Xi’an tourism.The relationship between touristification and the three factors of Xi’an city is the highest,These three factors are the original value of fixed assets per capita tourism enterprises, tourism reception capacity, tourism industry and the Third Industry Association,The correlation coefficient reached 0.97078,0.96907,0.94351,From the main factors to promote the development of urban tourism.
