Study On The Use Of Urban Public Space, Space Confict And Governance

City public space is one of the important places of city residents’ daily activities. To some extent, it is not only a space on a cluster of activities in the area, but also a communication and integration platform for the residents. In recent years, with the improvement of the social and economic level, the status of leisure and entertainment in the life of the residents has gradually increased, more and more people come into the outdoor, enjoy the health. Diversification, personality of the crowd gathered in the city public space, the public space of city of the current carrying capacity of certain challenges. However, it also provides a new perspective for the study of urban public space.On the basis of social conflict theory, this research has combed the domestic and international related research. Then, a sample survey was carried out on the residents and the surrounding residents in the ten public space of Changsha. Study took use of sociological survey method, analyzing the behavior characteristics of the crowd and the use of spatial characteristics, then, classifying five types of urban public space. On this basis, the study explored the use of urban public space conflicts and contradictions, put forward the problem oriented solution. Finally, the study provides some effective and reasonable management suggestions for the layout and optimization of urban public space.Studies suggest that:①The choice behavior of the square active person is the interaction of the positive attraction factors and the negative factors. Take Changsha as an example, attract factors including the site area, site available period,space equipments and so on; On the other hand, negative factors are mainly reflected in the music activities’ noise and interference with children.②According to the results of the spatial selection of the activists, the urban public space is divided into five types, which including City Square type, city park type, general community type, campus and public open space type. In addition,the study also compares the differences between the five types of space.③There are four kinds of basic conflict in the process of the use of urban public space, which are the time conflict, the space conflict, the sound conflict and the atmosphere conflict. The four kind of conflict is not the same in different space types, and there is a difference in strength. The common community type of public space and the city square type of public space in the form shows the most abundant conflict and conflict intensity.④There is a certain transformation and transmission between the different forms of the urban public space. Among them, the temporal and spatial conflict is more obvious. The transmission of conflict is mainly reflected in the diffusion of the environment around the interior of a single public space. This transmission is the most significant of the transmission of the voice and atmosphere.⑤ The paper gives three suggestions finally. From the user’s point of view, the article suggests the use of conduct to guide. From the angle of community maintenance provides suggestions on management. From the perspective of public space layout, the study provides scientific layout guidance for urban planning and design. Finally, the reasonable and efficient suggest of urban public space providing a peace of mind to the public at different levels of the city.
