A Study On Chinese Think-tanks’ Influence

The 21 st century, with the rapid development of information technology, global economy makes the connections between the parts closer, political developmentmulti-polarization, cultural diversity, countries have varying degrees of social problems, China is in the social transition stage, hence sharpcontradictions put forward higher request from the government.Think-tank as a new member of the national soft power, which will provide help to the development of democratic and scientific policy. There is very short time for the development of Chinese think-tank, which compared with developed countries make a considerable gap and need further development.This paper first introduces the concept of a think-tank, characteristics and social function;the connotation and main types, namely characteristicsdominant and stealth; illustrates the theoretical basis of the west research.The second part introduces the expression form and communication channel of the think-tank in Chinese and western society, which for the following the analysis ofthink-tank in current Chinese. I try to divide influence of think-tank into decision-making, social and the public according by object; profile the think-tank transmission path, base on the knowledgecombined of Chinese and western theory of think-tank spread.The third part describes the development process of China’s think tank, the think tank for the following analysis of the impact of the current situation and cause analysis to pave the way.The fourth part is define the evaluation criterion of Chinese think-tank influence by analysis the development of think-tank, which use the data in latest Chinese report about think-tank by combining qualitative and quantitative way, Then through data analysis, reveals the main factors affecting our country think-tank mainly in three aspects: government decision-making system, information transmission channels, plight of think-tank itself.Last part of the chapter is the focus of this article,suggestionsupgrading the influence of think-tank in our country by policy which under theory and the analysis of the actual situationof Chinese think tankinfluence, at the macro, meso and micro three direction, hoping promote the think-tank of our countrydevelop to the strongest "brain" of the policy systemin the democratic and scientific policy environment.
