The green beans peeling is an important step in the further processing of green beans.With the growth of green beans output, the related industries become popular and are promoted in the domestic and foreign countries, the requirements of peeling efficiency and quality are also increased as well. Existing green beans peeling method not only has low efficiency, high damage rate, high energy consumption, but also needs artificial feeding,which seriously affects the degree of automation. In order to simplify the mechanical structure, shorten the process route, improve the quality and efficiency of the peeling. In this paper, do the research on green beans peeling technics and develop automatic peeling machine through theoretical analysis and experimental research. The main work of this paper are as follows:(1)Experimental research on physical and mechanical properties of green beans.Measure the geometry size of green bean samples, pod weights, moisture content of green beans, the hardness and compressive strength of green beans shells parameters. Analyze these data statistically and obtain the rule of physical and mechanical characteristic of green beans. Provide a basis for shell stress analysis, machine's key parts design and the related research work.(2)Green beans peeling design and its mechanical analysis. Put forward the design scheme of automatic peeling green beans, mechanical analysis for peeling, measure the force of key parts and do the related derivation, matching calculation of parameters and efficiency, provide parameter selection for experiment.(3)Green beans peeling machine design and prototyping. Design of feeding mechanism, conveying mechanism and peeling work-space. The feeding mechanism includes feeding brush and axis design. The conveying mechanism includes guide slot,conveyor and oriented chain design. The peeling work-space includes feeding roller and adjus Tab. bearing design. Manufacture the prototype and test it. It shows that the automatic peeling efficiency is high without the need for artificial feeding, good quality and s Tab.performance.(4)Experimental study on green beans automatic peeling machine. According to the peeling analysis, select the peeling factors and their levels, do the orthogonal experiments using efficiency and damage rate as index. By the range and variance analysis of experimental results, we could get the optimal parameters of high peeling efficiency and low damage rate, and the corresponding impacts, thus improving the peeling performance.This green beans automatic peeling machine has a set of automatic feeding, peeling and collection. It fits the different sizes old green beans. Save processing cost and reduce power consumption, improve the efficiency at the same time. It has a much higher automation degree than the equipments in the current markets.
