Water chestnut is one of the important aquatic vegetables in our country.Peeling is an indispensable part of water chestnut before eating.This article addresses the problems of high labor intensity of manual peeling of water chestnut,low removal rate of existing peeling machines,and high loss rate.In the research of peeling technology,a combined water chestnut peeling machine was developed to improve the peeling rate of the peel and reduce the loss of pulp.The main results are as follows:(1)Research on the characteristics of water chestnut materials.The water chestnut crushing characteristics,shear characteristics,pulp compression characteristics and compressive strength tests were completed,and the relevant characteristic parameters of the water chestnut biology and physics were obtained.The crush test showed that the speed and direction of crushing had a significant impact on the mechanical properties of water chestnuts,and the compression resistance of the side bark,buds and roots was quite different;the pulp compression test showed that the water chestnut was an anisotropic material;the shear test found that V The shear speed has no significant influence on the mechanical properties of the water chestnut when the type knife is sheared.In addition,the bud cutting force is 60.56N,root cutting force is 70.95N,radial elastic modulus is 6.312MPa,axial elastic modulus is3.704MPa,radial compressive strength is 0.835MPa,and axial compressive strength is0.399MPa,density is 1.075g/cm~3.(2)The structure design and prototype trial production of the combined water chestnut peeling machine were completed.Combining the current situation of water chestnut peeling,according to the analysis of material characteristics,comprehensive cutting and friction technology,using the method of cutting and removing the bud roots and then rubbing the side bark,the water chestnuts are passed through the double blanking funnel into two simultaneous running debarks.The skin channel is peeled.The water chestnut positioning adopts the opening positioning of the gear plate surface,and the 3D printing profiling fixture is arranged in the hole position to make the water chestnut fit more closely and cut the bud root more smoothly.For side skin friction,emery grains and sponge belt are used to adhere to the smooth surface of the timing belt to increase the friction;when the two friction belts move in reverse differential speed,the water chestnut removes the side skin under the friction of the two adjacent surfaces.The control system is integrated into the plastic electric box,and the knobs such as switches are arranged in the shell,which enhances the safety of operation.(3)Carried out the whole machine peeling performance test.There is no interference during the dry running test of the machine;the performance test of the whole machine found that the feeding is more stable when the positioning gear is running at a low speed,and it is easy to cut water chestnuts when running at high speed;the cutting is smoother under the condition of low speed and the probability of secondary cutting occurs Low;when the positioning gear speed is 10r/min and the tool speed is 100r/min,the sprout and root removal rates are higher,79.04%and 83.77%respectively;within the test range,the friction belt I and belt II speeds are 400r respectively At 300r/min and 300r/min,the net removal rate of side skin is higher,which is 84.93%.The overall performance test of the machine shows that the peeling loss rate is 43.03%,and the net removal rate is 77.43%.
