This paper comes from a company who entrust the Hunan Nonferrous Metal Research Institute to research on a acid leaching residue from Dr Congo to recycle its valuable metals.According to the researches of process mineralogy and the ore's characteristics,core of valuable minerals are mainly copper and cobalt,copper mainly exists in the form of sulphide ore,mostly secondary sulfide copper mine.The main gangue minerals are SiO2,Al2O3,Mg O and so on.While the particle size is ultrafine which content more than 68%-0.023 mm,the gangue contains a certain amount of carbonaceous material which make the gangue mineral flotability better and increase the difficulty of separation.Based on features of the mine sample,a lot of tests have been done.The results show that:?1?Using stage selective flotation,separate the copper mineral which has a better flotability first.Then select the copper mineral which has a poor flotability.This method can effectively improve the final concentrate grade and recovery;?2?The stage agent addition method can improve the effect of collecting,increase the concentrate grade and recovery.?3?A large number of conditions test results showed that the best grinding fineness is 77.6%-0.023mm;Using sodium carbonate as pulp regulator,new type of modified thiamine lipid collector BP as collector,can effectively select copper ore;The suitable reagent dosage for roughing of sodium carbonate is 600g/t,BP is 60g/t;The suitable pulp concentration for roughing is 25%33%.?4?The laboratory closed-circuit process has a good stability and reasonable reagent system.Specific process is: the first section of the rougher concentrate mixed with the second section of the rougher concentrate,select three times,to get the first kind of concentrate;Third section of the rougher concentrate ore mixed with the fourth section of the rougher concentrate,select three times,get the second kind of concentrates;Scavenging twice;Scavenging concentrate and middlings returning in sequence.It gets a good result under the condition that the raw ore grade of copper is 3.53%.In total,concentrate copper grade is 14.40%,the recovery is 91.25%.?5?Pilot-scale test proved that the process decided by lab test is a reasonable system which could get a stable result.The copper grade of raw ore is 5.62%,Pilot-scale test 's results is as follows: The copper grade of concentrate is 17.56%,the recovery is 17.56%.
