Infant formula is one of the most important food during infants' growth. However, in recent years, the formula security issues have occurred in a row in China, and this has directly led people to lost confidence in dairy product in domestic market, especially for Infant formula. Compared with these matters, foreign milk powder keeps on rising in price but still occupies more and more market share. What is more, the information asymmetry between the dairy companies and the customers has added up to the crisis of confidence. In order to help the consumers regain confidence on domestic dairy product, it is of quite importance to build traceability system for infant formula.Traceability system of infant formula can keep track of every processes during the production, which include cultivation, milking, milk powder processing and packaging, warehousing and transportation, marketing, and EPC code can help customers inquire every information they want to know, these information includes the manufacturer, production location and date, cows identification and varieties, feed supplement, quarantine inspection time and place, milk style and time. If the customers have any problems about any links, they can contact with the dairy companies or even complain them.Before building the traceability system of infant formula, some analysis about this system which includes the design purpose and principle, function and system chart was performed. The realization of the traceability system is based on the recording of every index during the supply chain, so the present study selected the traceability index and designed the traceability code, so the index could be recorded based on the code.And then, according to result of the present work, the traditional traceability system of infant formula is always functional after the discovery of problems by the customers, and this is obviously insufficient. So the present study has proposed an auxiliary evaluation method for the quality safety of infant milk powder, and this method can ensure the quality safety of the powder further during the supply chain, the feasibility and effectiveness of this method has been verified by experiments.Finally, the reader of the traceability system was designed, which includes two parts:software and hardware design and RFID tags storage design., a software for the traceability system of infant formula was designed, the core work contains the following there points:architecture design, database design and interface design.The software can record, manage and inquire the information during every supply chain of infant milk powder. Besides, auxiliary evaluation information can forecast the powder quality safety under every supply chain.The innovations of present work focus on the following three points:(1) Studied and designed the traceability system of infant formula; (2) Integrated the RFID and embedded technologies on the traceability system of infant formula; (3) Proposed a verified auxiliary evaluation method for the quality safety of infant milk powder.
