Electroplating is an important part of industrial production, the important factor which determines the plating quality is electroplating equipment, which is the most important part of the electroplating production line. But the traditional design methods cannot meet the design requirements, and restrict the development of electroplating equipment manufacturing enterprises seriously. To improve the efficiency of the production and designation of the enterprise, reduce the cost, promote the upgrading and transformation of the electroplating enterprise, by researching the plating equipment, knowledge engineering, parametric design and CATIA secondary development technology ware introduced to design and manufacture the plating equipment. With the traveling crane for electroplating as research object, research the method of designing the mechanical parts of plating equipment based on CATIA. Based on CATIA V5R19, studied as follows:1.Classified the traveling crane for electroplating, and divided the structure of the different types of traveling crane.2.Analyzed the basic method of parametric design, a parametric design method for complex 3D assembly was proposed, by studying the parameter correlation in CATIA, the best parameter correlation way for assembly parametric design was obtained.3.Based on CATIA knowledge engineering module, extracted the knowledge the major parts of traveling crane, completed the parametric design for traveling crane.4.Analyzed the basic principle of the secondary development of CATIA based on CAA, researched the process of traversing and reading the parameters in interactions.Generated the human-computer interaction interface for traveling crane for electroplating based on above research, and integrated into the CATIA, making the rapidly generating the 3D models and engineering drawings of traveling crane for electroplating come true.Practice proves that the final results of the study are applied to the actual design of the enterprise, the workload of the design staff can be reduced about 50% effectively, and the efficiency of work be improved greatly.
