Study On Urban Green Travel Strategy In Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region

In recent years,the contradiction between the increase of vehicle pollution emission and the deterioration of atmospheric environmental quality is increasingly prominent.Green travel aims to choose low energy consumption,low pollution transportation means,and can ease the contradiction between motor vehicles and the atmosphere.So it is particularly important to develop and encourage green travel.In this paper,the typical vhicle data,such as traffic flow,vehicle composition,vehicle travel characteristics,were obtained from the road test for typical cities of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.We calculated and modified the vehicle pollutant emission factors by the IVE model,and then established vehicle emission inventories for different cities and the whole area in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.By the use of ArcGIS,Surfer,we analysed the distribution characteristics of motor vehicle pollution in Yinchuan and Wuzhong City.Combined with the current situation of vehicle pollution,three different kinds of green travel measures were selected to predict the vehicle pollutant emissions of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in 2030 based on two scenarios:Business-as-usual(BAU)scenario and Low-carbon scenario.Then we analysed the motor vehicle pollution reduction effect under green travel measures,and put forward the suggestions for green travel development.The results show that the emissions of CO2,CO,NOx,HC,PM,N2O,CIH4 from motor vehicle are 2.35×107,3.99×105,2.63×105,5.84×104,1.20×104,2.90×103,1.50×103 tons for the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in 2014.Motor vehicle pollution mainly comes from heavy trucks and passenger cars.Yinchuan and Wuzhong City motor vehicle pollution spatial distribution characteristics show that the motor vehicle pollution is mainly concentrated in the center,the East and the Northwest of cities.The prediction results show that for the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region,under the BAU scenario,the emissions of CO2,CO,NOx,HC,PM from motor vehicle are 6.57×107,1.05×106,6.08×105,1.41x105,2.75×104 tons in 2030.Under the Low-carbon scenario,with the structure adjustment measure,the emissions of CO2,CO,NOx,HC,PM decreased by 29.18%,26.55%,33.11%,31.06%,33.19%respectively in 2030;with alternative energy replacement measure,the emissions of CO2,CO,NOx,HC,PM further decreased by 3.18%,3.39%,2.10%,2.56%,2.13%respectively;and with vehicle admittance improvement measure,the emissions of CO2,CO,NOx,HC,PM would continue to decrease by 0.42%,0.60%,0.49%,0.54%,0.54%respectively.With the three green travel measures,the emissions of CO2,CO,NOx,HC,PM finally decreased by 32.78%,30.54%,35.70%,34.17%,35.86%respectively in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.Structure adjustment is one of the most significant mersures for motor vehicle pollutant emissions reduction which produced by the increasement of vehicles numbers,the reduction of pollutants accounted for more than 65%of the total reduction of structural adjustment measures;the most obvious effect of reducing the pollution was especially for trucks,the reduction of pollutants were more than 55%;followed were passenger cars,the maximum reduction was 40.38%.Therefore,structure adjustment,alternative energy replacement,and vehicle admittance improvement could be considered to reduce motor vehicle pollutant emissions and promote green travel development for the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.
