Chinese high-speed railway will remain rapid construction in next 10 years according to rail transit plan(2016).The government has to take effective measures to avoid ecological risk of high-speed railway construction. At present, there are little indexes and mathematic models to calculate railway ecological risk in China. In order to protect the security of railway engineering and ecological environment, there is a lot of work should be done. This paper take the new project "Chuan-Nan" high-speed railway as an example to study ecological risk assessment of high-speed railway which was set amid economic circle of Chengdu and Chongqing. The following work has been done:(1)The index system of ecological risk assessment of high-speed railway has been established based on PSR model and framework of high-speed railway ecological risk assessment. This index system includes all the important information of ecological environment changes caused by railway construction.(2)Combined AHP and gray method to establish the ecological risk assessment quantitative model of high-speed railway with the index system. This model could av oid deviation derived from subjective judgment.(3)Analyzed ecological environment of "Chuan-Nan" line. Its own index system and quantitative model of ecological risk assessment has been established."Chuan-Nan" line has been calculated with the assessment result 3.8841 according to high-speed railway ecological risk assessment index system and the quantitative model established last step, which means this line’s ecological risk between low-risk and early warning. This paper finished expected target and calculated the ecological risk of "Chuan-Nan" line. The application of the index system and quantitative model in engineering indicated their practicability. This research offered important reference value for prote-cting ecological environment and railway engineering.
