As a modern machine for tunnel construction,TBM(Tunnel Boring Machine)is widely applied in underground engineering field like city subway and mountain tunnel.TBM disc cutter is the tool for hard rock cutting.During the working process,the cutting rings of TBM disc cutters directly encounter with hard rock,which makes them most easily damaged.Compared with imported TBM disc cutter rings,domestic ones have such problems as poor wear resistance,short service life,and so forth.As the two key factors,the material and heat treatment process play a most important role during the production run of TBM disc cutter rings.Therefore,it is of great importance and practical significance to undertake analysis of the material and heat treatment process of TBM disc cutter rings.H13 is a high-quality alloy steel practicing American standard,and is a medium carbon and medium alloy steel.H13 is of good hardenability.After medium/high temperature tempering,H13 steel possesses high strength,high hardness and good toughness,and is wildly applied for hot work die production.Moreover,H13 has been successfully applied for the manufacture of TBM disc cutter rings.DC53 is a patent steel of Daido Steel Co.,Ltd,and is a high carbon and high alloy steel.After low/high temperature tempering,DC53 steel possesses high hardness and good toughness,and is currently mainly applied for cold work die production according to the relevant references and papers.And so far,no research reported reports its application in the production of TBM disc cutter rings.In this thesis,experiments are carried out on the quenching and tempering process of H13 and DC53 to confirm their respective optimal temperatures for quenching and tempering.In addition,emulation experiments by software DEFORM are conducted as well for numerical analysis.Experimental results show that for H13,the optimal temperature for quenching is at 1030℃,and the optimal temperature for tempering is within 200~400℃ and within 550~600℃;and that for DC53,the optimal temperature for quenching is at1000℃,and the optimal temperature for tempering is within 200~300℃ and within550~600℃.Comparison between simulation results and experimental ones indicate that they match well,which provides reference for the optimization of heat treatment process of H13 and DC53 disc cutter rings of TBM.
