Hydraulic support is one of the important mechanical equipments in fully mechanized mining face.It is dispersed in the whole coal mining work,and the investment in hydraulic support accounts for more than 60%of the total investment in machinery and equipment in the whole coal face.Hydraulic support is used to control the coal working face of mine pressure and roof height,and support the roof of the mine,the formation of coal mining operations in mobile space,convenient for scraper conveyor and shearer in space operations in coal mining,therefore,the hydraulic support should be of sufficient strength and stability to ensure the absolute safety and reliability of the coal mining space.Although it has experienced more than thirty years of development from birth to now of China's hydraulic support,but from the developed countries in the process of automation is still far from the direction of development.The traditional hydraulic support in China with four link mechanism,it belongs to statically indeterminate structure so it cannot bear the side to the larger,now used in mine there is a big security risk,risk of falling,apparently has been unable to meet the requirements of the development of the times.Parallel hydraulic drive pillar belongs to the two link mechanism,the load of coal seam roof will be transferred to the pillar through the roof,and will not transfer to other devices which support the mountain,which determines the parallel hydraulic support can withstand large internal force and lateral force,compared with the traditional four bar mechanism,parallel hydraulic support stability has been greatly improved.On the basis of a great deal of literature,this paper presents two new parallel hydraulic supports of three degrees of freedom and five degrees of freedom to overcome the basic defects of the traditional hydraulic support and provide a strong guarantee for coal mining.
