Some characteristics of hydraulic powered support design are analyzed in terms of the trend of design and analysis integration. And the shortage of traditional design is indicated. In the meanwhile, the characteristics and the application of CAD, CAE, PDM are introduced. On basic of analyzing the shortage of traditional design, the integration of CAD/CAE/PDM was proposed, and the correlation and the structure of the three modules are described in detail. The influence which the integration system makes on the production efficiency , product quality and market competition of the enterprise is discussed.By integrating Pro/E,ANSYS,ADAMS with SQL Server, a design software system for the hydraulic powered support is developed on situation of Visual C++. It combines the design and analysis of hydraulic powered support and manages the product data in SQL Server.The design of hydraulic powered support includes the three-dimension modeling for the main parts of hydraulic powered support, the configuration analysis of the parts in configuration analysis module in this system. If the result cannot fillful the design reqirement, the dimension of the parts in modeling module will be changed and the configuration is analyzed over again till the result fillfuls the design requirement. Finally, the whole assemblage of the hydraulic powered support is finished and the movement and dynamical analysis of the whole hydraulic powered support are completed in emulation analysis module.By the integration Pro/E, ANSYS with ADAMS, the seamless connection of the softwares is realized and the valid data exchange among Pro/E and ANSYS, Pro/E and ADAMS is achieved. Meanwhile, through the secondary development to Pro/E based on Pro/TOOLKIT, parametric design is realized. The automatization of structural analysis is finished by the means of development ANSYS basiced on APDL,Finally, the ZY380 type as an example is designed on the platform.The result shows that this system can ensures design quality effectively and promotes design efficiency.
