Nowadays,China is facing to energy shortage and environment pollution.It is essential to reduce the consumption of energy and control the emissions of pollution.As a pillar industry of China's national security and national economic development,power industry is one of the energy-intensive and highest emission industries.With the further understanding of the national electric power industry for the impact on the environment and resources,energy conservation has become the industry consensus.As one of important execution units which implement energy-saving emission reduction program,the West Inner Mongolia Power Grid plays a pivotal role.First,this paper calculated the company's carbon emissions,energy intensity and carbon intensity during 2005 to 2014 and described the company's power production,supply and energy saving and emission reduction work.Through the analysis of the present situation of energy saving and emission reduction technology of the West Inner Mongolia Power Grid,we analyzed the internal resource advantages and disadvantages.Next,we analyzed the opportunities and threats in the facing environment.Then,we carried on an analysis on the development strategy of energy saving and emission reduction of the company by using SWOT analysis matrix and put forward the development strategies as follows.First,we should develop wind power and photovoltaic construction vigorously,increase technology research and development efforts,add the subsidies for the companies which product wind power and photovoltaic power.Second,we should pay attention to the power grid planning,rationally plan the grid structure,strengthen the construction of distribution network and the external transmission channel to protect the wind power,photovoltaic and external power supply.Third,we should take some measures on the market level,for example,further expand the scale of direct power purchase and regulate power pricing etc.Fourth,we should cooperate with other enterprises in the electric power industry,such as carry out the net on the net with the National Power Grid,thus the surplus power can be sent out and the clean power can be effectively utilized.Finally,we put forward the development countermeasures of energy saving and emission reduction based on the development strategies.
