The largest consumption of PVC plasticizer is phthalic ester plasticizer,this kind of plasticizer has excellent comprehensive performance,but its potential toxicity to human body has attracted wide attention from manufacturers and consumers,especially in the field of high safety requirements of plasticizers such as medical apparatus and instruments,the type of plasticizer has been disabled.Therefore,the use of a new type of non-toxic plasticizer to replace the traditional plasticizer has become a major trend,it is vital to the development of excellent plastic properties,non-toxic and environmentally friendly plasticizer.In this paper,sulfuric acid was used as catalysts for the esterification reaction between hexahydrophthalic anhydride and iso-octanol to synthesize di(2-ethylhexyl)-1,2-cyclohexane dicarboxylate(DEHCH).According to the synthetic process of the laboratory,the industrial production line was designed and built,and the best industrial process was obtained by adjusting the best technology in the laboratory.Firstly,the optimal processes of industrial production and decolorization were studied,and established the standard operation specification;Secondly,the plasticizing properties of this product were coMpared with that of the same kind of product of Germany BASF Hexamoll DINCH;In addition,the application of the new plasticizer was developed,and a kind of high performance,non-toxic and hard PVC material with excellent performance was designed and manufactured.Conclusions are as follows:(1)The best industrial synthesis technology:molar ratio of hexahydrophthalic anhydride and isooctyl alcohol was 1:2.4,the amount of concentrated sulfuric acid was 0.5wt%of hexahydrophthalic anhydride,the reaction temperature and reaction time were 165? and 2 h,Vacuum degree is-0.008Mpa,and under this condition,the esterification rate is up to 99.9%.(2)The best industrial decolorization technology:The 200 mesh industrial grade activated carbon was chosen as the decolorizing agent,and the amount of decolorizing agent was 0.5%,the decolorization time and decolorization temperature were 1h and 90? respectively.(3)The final product was analyzed by infrared spectrum and nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR).It was proved that the product of the pilot line was the target product of di(2-ethylhexyl)-1,2-cyclohexane dicarboxylate(DEHCH),The content of DEHCH in the product was 99.33%,the CIS product content was 98.9%,the trans product content was about 0.43%,which were analyzed by gas chromatography and maSS spectrometry.The colorimetric value is 30,which can meet the requirement of first grade.(4)The performance of the products produced by the pilot line was coMpared with that of the BASF DINCH,DEHCH plasticized PVC is superior to DINCH plasticized PVC in tensile strength,elongation at break and iMpact at low temperature;DEHCH plasticized PVC is slightly inferior to DINCH plasticized PVC in terms of volatile and light transmittance.(5)A kind of hard PVC material with good tensile strength of 44.5Mpa,elongation at break of 30%,hardneSS of D80,light transmittance of 90.3%,haze degree of 1.5%and glaSS transition temperature of was designed and prepared.The formula is as follows:PVC homogeneous powder is 100phr,DEHCH is 8phr,DINCH is 4phr,ESO is 3,and the stabilizer is 2phr.
