Color measurement and matching using computer are more convenient and quick,more accurate and reliable compared to traditional artificial work.So today computer color matching almost replaced the traditional artificial color matching work.But,with the progress of social development,people's demand for fabric dyeing and printing is increasing.The previous study of color matching using computer has its limitations.The analysis of relations between color tristimulus values and concentration of dye in previous study is often lack of overall importance,which may cause missing information and affecting the accuracy of color matching.In order to overcome this defect,this study uses the canonical correlation analysis.Studies by previous scholars on fabric dyeing computer color matching are divided into two kinds of cases: different concentration of dye and same concentration of dye.In fact,the same dye concentration is a special case of the different dye concentration case,so this paper combines the two kinds of circumstances,puts forward a kind of general relationship model between the tristimulus values of CMY and the dye concentration.In order to improve the accuracy of computer color matching for fabric dyeing,a large number of experimental data samples are studied in this paper.By using the method of canonical correlation analysis,the correlation between the tristimulus values of CMY and the dye concentration is found.And further by using the method of regression analysis,the regression model for the tristimulus values of CMY and the dye concentration finally is established.The model is solved by using Matlab,and the results show that the accuracy of this model is higher.With easy implementing,the model can satisfy the requirement of practical application.As a result,the combination of canonical correlation analysis and fabric dyeing computer color matching is feasible.It can improve the precision and the speed of computer color matching and has value of practical application.
