In this paper, the problems of color matching in textile dyeing, mathematical methods and analysis process used in modeling are described in detail. By studying traditional color matching methods, we know that these methods are not only time-consuming but also have poor color matching precision which are difficult to meet complex production requirements. In order to overcome the shortcomings of traditional color matching methods, mathematical modeling and curve fitting methods are introduced to the study of color matching in this research. On the basis of the data analysis of dyeing samples, the rules between concentration of three mixed colorants and CMY values are detected. Furthermore, the mathematical models of color matching in textile dyeing are established based on the same concentration of three colorants and the different concentration of three colorants respectively. Polynomial curve fitting is applied to solve the same concentration of three colorants color matching model and least square fitting is applied to solve the different concentration of three colorants color matching model. In the end, the color matching models are verified. The first chapter introduces the purpose and meaning of color matching research. Besides, the color matching development process is also mentioned in this chapter. The second chapter describes the basic theory of color matching, including the basic principles of colorimetry, the theoretical basis of color matching and main computer color matching technology currently. The third chapter mentions the theory of mathematical modeling, numerical analysis methods, interpolation and fitting involved, and how to solve the problem of nonlinear equations. The fourth chapter contains three parts:the problems of color matching research, the description of experimental design and data extraction, the conversion of RGB and CMY in colorimetry space. The fifth chapter mainly introduces that the mathematical model of color matching is established based on the same concentration of three colorants. Polynomial curve fitting is applied to solve this model. The sixth chapter mainly describes that the mathematical model of color matching is established based on the different concentration of three colorants. Least square fitting is applied to solve this model. Finally, the advantages and disadvantages of color matching models are analyzed and summarized.Experiment illustrates that the mathematical models of color matching in textile dyeing based on the same concentration of three colorants and the different concentration of three colorants are simple, clear and effective. The two methods proposed in this paper provide new references for color matching in textile dyeing and also have certain values for theory study and application research.
