Since the industrial revolution, the contradiction between economic development and environmental pollution has always restricted the coordinated development of economy and environment. The experience of "first pollution and post-treatment" in developed countries shows that this model does not apply. In order to deal with the increasingly serious environmental pollution problem,we should promote the "sustainable development" model. In order to deal with the environmental pollution problem which brought by rapid economic growth,China define "sustainable development" as a basic state policy, and basis on it,proposed the idea of "ecological civilization" on the seventeenth congress.Although people's environmental awareness gradually strengthen and the standards for environmental pollution control have also gradually increased, the environmental pollution situation in China is still severe under the cumulative circulation of pollution. On the one hand, the environmental pollution problem is still serious, various kinds of pollution incidents occurred frequently and the ecological balance has been seriously damaged. On the other hand, there are regional differences in environmental pollution, which resulting in a wide range of regional pollution control and seriously affected the regions' coordinated development, also not conducive to building a good social development environment. Therefore,it is necessary to study the difference of influencing factors of different pollutants in different regions, examine the common and individual factors of environmental pollution and the direct and indirect causes of environmental pollution,so as to provide effective promotion measures for different regional environmental governance.Based on this background, this paper will analyze the trend of the pollution of air, water and solid waste in China, and then using the comprehensive index of environmental pollution to discuss the basic situation and trend of regional environmental pollution in China. Finally, using multiple multivariate regression analysis model,STIRPAT model and analysis of variance to explore the main influencing factors of regional environmental pollution and the regional differences in these factors.Through the empirical analysis we found that, the method of entropy is used to quantitatively analyze the environmental pollution of 30 provinces and cities in China. We get the results that ten provinces with the most serious environmental pollution are Hebei,Shandong,Guangdong,Jiangsu,Liaoning,Henan,Shanxi,Sichuan,Neimenggu and Zhejiang, which six from the eastern, two in the central and west.It shows that there are regional differences in environmental pollution in China. Then,we concluded that there is no significant difference in the comprehensive index of environmental pollution between the eastern region and the central region, but the comprehensive index of environmental pollution of the western region was significant difference between the eastern and central region.Besides,we found that economic development level and energy consumption structure led to increasing regional environmental pollution emissions, and the government environmental protection regulation failed to control the regional environmental pollution emissions.Population scale, technology level and industrial structure have positive and negative affect on the three type pollution. The influence factors of the three dimensions on the three types of pollution are different, when formulating policy suggestions the specific situation should be take into account. Finally, there are obvious regional differences in the influence factors of environmental pollution and each influence factors has different regional variations in different types of pollution,so the governments need to tailor their environmental policies to specific types of pollution.
