Under the background of the global warming,carbon tax is condersidered to be an effective means of reducing carbon emissions by international community.As the research in both the domestic and foreign experts and scholars going further,the voice of imposition of carbon tax has been louder and louder.Among the kinds of the carbon tax-related issues,people pay more attention to the effects of carbon tax,especially for China,whose regional economic development is unbalance.Firstly,this article eleborates the necessity and feasibility about the imposition of carbon tax.Secondly,analyzing the Nordic countries' carbon tax policies to design our country's future carbon tax rate,tax preference,income attribution and use.Under the condition of designed carbon tax system,this article ananlys the influences of carbon taxes on china's regional economic development,and puts forward the relevant supporting measures which are suitable for the regional characteristics of our country to ensure that carbon taxes can be smoothly introduced.In the part of research methods,this article combines theoretical with empirical,links qualitative and quantitative analysis together.Through comparing the basic elements of the carbon tax system,income use,the effect of implementation and so on of Nordic countries to learn from the successful experience to provide the theory and guidance for our country's introduction of carbon tax.At the same time,we also find that Nordic countries' carbon tax policy focus more on the Industrial differences,and pay less attention to the regional differences,so this article decides to focus more on the regional differences.With respect to the empirical analysis,a study is conducted in this article to analyze the impact of imposing carbon tax on the economy of whole,economically developed,economically middle and economically underdeveloped regions according to the proposed four categories of carbon tax rates basing on the panel data of 30 provinces from 2000 to 2014 in China.The result shows that:Firstly,the introduction of carbon tax would inhibit the China's whole level of economic growth in the short term and its degree of influence will gradually go up from underd-eveloped to developed regions,but the economic restraint will be weakened in the long term.Secondly,the income gap between developed and underdeveloped regions will be narrowed,but the interregional income gap in China's overall scope will be widen.Thirdly,the demand for energy elements will be reduced and the degree of inhibition of the energy consumption will be gradually go up from underdeveloped to developed regions.
