Study On The Relationship Between Energy Consumption,Carbon Emission And Economic Growth In Gansu Province

The problem of ecological environment is becoming more and more prominent.Deep research on environmental problems will help to improve the current situation of ecological environment and promote better and faster economic development.In the past,economists' cognition on the input of production factors was limited to the level of labor,capital,land and science and technology.Energy is generally considered as a part of raw materials,not as an input factor.The use of energy is the main reason for the sharp increase of carbon dioxide emissions.The outbreak of the oil crisis and the rise of global temperature threaten the sustainable development of economic society and ecological environment.Firstly,this paper reviews the research progress of the relationship between energy consumption,carbon emission and economic growth.Secondly,it introduces the theory of circular economy,sustainable development,decoupling and low-carbon economy.Then introduce the carbon emission calculation method and calculate the carbon emission,and make a descriptive statistical analysis of the development of energy consumption,carbon emission and economic growth in Gansu Province.Then,the relationship between energy consumption and economic growth is studied by using semi parametric additive model,and the relationship between carbon emissions and economic growth in Gansu Province is analyzed by Tapio decoupling index method,Based on the simultaneous equation model,the relationship between energy consumption,carbon emission and economic growth is studied.Finally,based on LMDI decomposition analysis method,the influencing factors of carbon emissions in Gansu Province are decomposed.The results show that the increase of energy consumption will not play a significant role in stimulating economic growth,and the increase of coal consumption will stimulate economic growth.Gansu Province performs better in industrial energy saving,slightly worse in emission reduction and industrial development,and relatively reasonable in carbon emission control compared with economic growth.There is a positive correlation between energy consumption and carbon emissions,and economic growth will stimulate carbon emissions.Energy structure and energy intensity have negative effects on carbon emissions,which are secondary inhibition and primary inhibition respectively;industrial development and economic output have positive effects on carbon emissions,which are secondary promotion and primary promotion respectively.Based on the above conclusions,the paper puts forward some policy suggestions for Gansu Province to achieve sustainable lowcarbon economic development in terms of optimizing energy structure,deepening reform,improving low-carbon economic laws,and innovating low-carbon incentive system.
