Research On The Impact Of Energy Consumption On Regional Carbon Emission In China

With the increasing of carbon dioxide emissions,the global warming and other environmental issues have gradually become the focal point of the international community.Reducing carbon emissions has become a global issue.China,as the largest developing country,has a pivotal position in the world.Due to the special situation,our country has a unique energy storage resources.There is a complex supply and demand contradiction between the shortage of energy reserves and the increasing energy demand.A large number of fossil energy consumption has made China become the world's second largest energy consuming country and the largest carbon dioxide emission country,instead of United States.So research on energy consumption in different regions of China and its contribution to the status of carbon dioxide emission has a strong practical significance.In the past,the research of China's energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions is usually from the whole or from a single province,industry as a breakthrough point.However,China has a vast territory,so there are much differences of energy consumption and carbon emissions.between different regions.Firstly,we use the China Energy Statistical Yearbook and other relevant statistical data to calculate the consumption of different energy sources from 1995 to 2014 to analysis the energy consumption structure,energy use efficiency,consumption per head and other index.Then,based on the energy conversion factor meter,announced by IPCC,this paper calculated the carbon dioxide from different energy.Secondly,through establishing the Kaya formula and the LMDI decomposition method,we found the contribution of different factors to carbon dioxide emissions.Finally,based on the data,analyses the influence of different factors on energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions trends in the country and other various regions.According to the regional characteristics,puts forward the corresponding suggestions.
