As an important sector of our national economy, industrial correlation of construction industry is large, the feature of high carbon emissions has seriously affected the healthy and sustainable development of the industry.Because construction industry develops unbalanced among various provinces in China at the present stage, the regional characteristics of carbon dioxide emissions s in the construction industry exists significant differences, conducting related research is of great significance for the promotion of sectoral carbon emission reduction.Based on above, this paper mainly studies the characteristics and influencing factors of carbon intensity in the construction industry from Space dimension.Firstly, determining the accounting methods of carbon intensity in the construction industry, and then accounting for the carbon dioxide emissions and carbon intensity in Chinese construction industry from 2005 to 2014.Secondly,based on the theory of exploratory spatial data analysis,it analyzes conducts the analysis of time series analysis, global spatial autocorrelation and local spatial autocorrelation analysis to the results; Finally, based on the clear recognition of the provincial carbon intensity spatial characteristics and trends in the construction industry, this paper selects the influencing factors of energy intensity, labor input and labor efficiency to build the geographically weighted regression(GWR)model of China's carbon intensity in the construction industry, and then analyses the influencing mechanism of each factor and makes appropriate recommendations on reduction in carbon intensity in the construction industry.Main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)The indirect carbon emissions produced by the other industries related to the construction activity is the main source of carbon emissions in the construction industry.National and provincial construction carbon emissions are still increasing with the increase in output in the construction industry, and differences of carbon dioxide emissions size in the nationwide is obvious, economically developed provinces in the east produce larger carbon emissions;(2)Spatial autocorrelation analysis results show that, national and provincial carbon intensity show a declining trend in the construction industry, but differences among regions are significant.Agglomeration characteristics of carbon intensity in the construction industry exists significantly, showing echelon trends from east to west, low carbon intensity provinces are mainly in the Eastern and southern coastal provinces, while higher carbon intensity provinces are mainly in the country's northern and western provinces.(3)The results of geographically weighted regression(GWR)show that:(1)Influence degree of factors on carbon intensity in the construction industry in the order from large to small is efficiency of labor, energy intensity and labor inputs,in which efficiency of labor has negative, energy intensity has positive effects, labor inputs has different effects in different province;(2)Energy intensity has the greatest impact on the carbon intensity and the regression coefficient changes from south to north, showing that it impacts greatly on China's northern provinces than in provinces in the southern region;(3)In recent years, labor input has inhibitory effect on carbon intensity in most provinces in the construction industry,it has great effect on provinces, such as Yunnan,Xinjiang,Guangxi,Hainan and has little influence on province, such as Hebei,Tianjin,Beijing and other regions;(4)Efficiency of labor has lower impact on carbon intensity in construction industry than energy intensity and higher than labor input, its influence degree weakened from the northeast to Southwest.(4)While carbon intensity in the construction industry is decreasing, but the findings show that the emission reduction potential is still very large. Our country should change the present extensive modes of production from improving energy efficiency, the quality of employees and labor efficiency according to the actual situation, taking measures such as promoting green construction, implementing building industrialization, applying BIM technology and so on.
