Automation has been basically realized in the whole process of condom production.However,in the quality inspection process of condoms,samples are put on the testing instru-ment artificially,which greatly reduces the production efficiency,increases the labor strength of the workers and also raises the production cost of enterprises significantly.And now,it has been the bottleneck of the comprehensive automation of the domestic condom manufacture industry.Therefore,it's urgent to design a new type of condom quality inspection machine to decrease the use of labor strength and increase the production efficiency,which is also quite meaningful to the domestic condom manufacture industry.The paper introduces the history of the development of condom production in China,the production process of condoms and the quality inspection methods of condoms,and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the domestic and foreign condom quality inspection ma-chines.A new type of condom quality inspection machine is designed using modularization design plan,it is made up of 5 modules:feeding module;delivering module;covering module;electric testing module;and uncovering and sorting module.Different designs of the schemes are also introduced and compared with each other,and the best ones are chosen according to the production requirement.Considering the problems arising from the debugging process of the machine,MSC.ADAMS software is used to analyze the contact force during the running of covering module,and influence factors of the contact force are also studied.To increase the stability of the tracking linkage of the uncovering and sorting module,MSC.ADAMS model is established to verify the moving path of the suction nozzle compar-ing with the designed path,analyze the variation trend of the spring force,and optimize the spring according to the simulation.ANSYS Workbench is used to research the fatigue life of the mandrels of covering mod-ule and analyze the trend of fatigue life of mandrels with different influence factors.Modal analysis is made to verify the stability of the machine in the process of the running.
