Baosteel chemical company introduced Germany K.K benzene hydrogenation process,in which the quality of pure coking products can reach the level of oil products. Moreover,it is not only can manufacture kinds of products with low investment cost, but also it has the environmental effect of outstanding advantages which bring obvious social and economic benefits.Nevertheless, with a booming domestic plant established with the production of more than 100 thousand tons in recent years, which causes the coking benzene production homogenization of serious competition in the industrial domain.Hence, the price difference between raw material and refined production becomes more and more small, which resulting in the industrial profit margins are close to zero.As a result,it is urgent to optimize the process operation that will improve the economic benefit of the unit.In this paper, based on the analysis of the difference of domestic crude benzol processing technology,it gives a detailed description of the working principle of low temperature hydrogenation unit with the core device of domestic mainstream, afterwards,it offers an analysis of the status for the third stage of hydrogenation of crude benzol plant in Baosteel, and an experiment was carried on for the ex-situ regeneration of hydrofining catalysts which explain the nature of raw material is an important factor to affect the regeneration cycle of catalysts. The development of domestic catalyst for benzene hydrogenation was carried out by small scale and pilot scale experiments,in which the results prove that the catalysts formed in the lab were provided with the characters of good activity态selectivity态stability and reproducibility. And the catalysts was finally succeed in applying to the plant. The result of the research will improve the competitive power for the company.
