The actual energy consumption prediction of crude oil pipeline could help managers understand energy consumption distribution of pipeline and provides them with references for adjusting operation plans of the pipeline and achieving energy consumption saving.Therefore,predicting energy consumption more accurately is of great significance to save energy consumption and keep the pipeline running efficiently.Considering pipeline throughput,outlet oil temperature,characteristics variation of energy consumption device unit,and multi-factors,this paper established energy consumption prediction model based on unsteady state hydraulic and thermal calculation by combining hydraulic and thermal compute model in unsteady state with characteristics modified model of energy consumption device unit.Then,the model was verified in view of accuracy and appalication.Based on C language(used for the software kernel)and VB language(used for the software interface),the corresponding software was developed,which could predict energy consumption of multifarious pipeline transportation processes such as single crude oil transport in unsteady state and batch transport of crude oils with different outlet temperatures.Using this software,we studied energy consumption law of batch transport of crude oils with different outlet temperatures at different throughput,outlet temperature of hot oil and single batch delivery time,and analysed several feasible operation plans of bathch transport,and chose the better one with low operating costs.It is found that,under the condition of meeting operation feasibility,when throughput increases,unit consumption of integrate energy steppedly increases.Thus,in field operation,larger throughput should be adopted with the same unit consumption of integrate energy.When the outlet temperature of hot oil increases,unit consumption linearly multiplies.Therefore,it is better to choose lower outlet temperature of hot oil.When single batch delivery time becomes long,unit energy consumption is smaller.So,long single batch delivery time should be used.In the actual operation of the pipeline,results show that the heat for raising oil temperature should be reduced to lower operatin cost when crude oil which needs to be heated is in hydraulic smooth area.When crude oil which needs to be heated is in laminar flow,operation plan should be decided in consideration of electricity price and oil price.
