Three-dimensional woven fabric is an important component of three-dimensional textile composites.The warp yarns in the fabric not only interweave with each other in the horizontal plane but also extend in the thickness direction to form a three-dimensional network structure.This type of fabric has various space structure,good mechanical properties and stable overall shape.The three-dimensional textile composite material processed by the fabric not only retains the advantages of high strength,fatigue resistance and good moldability,but also overcomes the disadvantages of low strength and easy delamination between conventional laminated composite materials.The weaving technology of three-dimensional woven fabric is constantly emerging.The multi-eyelet loom is based on the traditional loom,and it is used to develop a new 3d loom for weaving three-dimensional woven fabric.Nowadays,multi-eyelet weaving machines are still at the stage of exploration and improvement.This project has systematically studied the design and weaving of three-dimensional woven fabrics on multi-eyelet loom,studied the weaving characteristics of it,and presented optimization solutions based on the problems found during the experimental process.In the course of improving the weaving design of the three-dimensional woven fabric on the multi-eyelet loom,the author first used the layer-layer orthogonal angle-interlock fabric as an example for the weaving design and then completed a variety of common three-dimensional woven fabrics according to design rules,finally selected part of the structure for weaving verification.Through the appearance and cross-section of the fabric,it has been found that multi-eyelet loom can be used to weave a variety of different structures of three-dimensional woven fabrics,and drafting plan and pegging plan can fully express the machine parameters.In order to visually analyze the weaving characteristics of multi-eyelet loom,three weaving machines were simulated on it to weave the same three-dimensional woven fabric.By comparing weaving design,actual weaving and fabric structure,it was found that multi-eyelet loom has a wide range of weaving,high weaving efficiency and good fabric shape retention,and the spacing between adjacent heddle eyelets is the core parameter of the multi-eyelet loom.The author proposed an improved scheme for multi-eyelet heddle,heald lifting motion and weft device.According to the sequence of the warp thread penetration into the heddle and heald frames,two weaving methods were proposed to extend the thickness of the three-dimensional woven fabric.One was to pass all warp yarns with the same intertwining rules into the same heald frames.The thickness was directly formed when weaving.Increasing the number of eyelets can increase the thickness of the fabric.The other was to pass warp yarns with the same intertwining rules into different heald frames.In the frame,the thickness of the fabric is formed in a stepwise fashion,and increasing the number of heddle eyes and heald frames can increase the thickness of the fabric.According to the above two methods for weaving,and then measuring the thickness of the fabrics,it is found that both of the weaving methods can increase the thickness of the three-dimensional woven fabric and have their own advantages.
