As an important area in the rise of central China strategy and an experim-ental area of two-oriented society construction,Changsha City is no longer opt-imistic in recent years in terms of eco-environment with economic developmen-t,population growth and urban expansion. The per capita ecological carrying c-apacity and per capita ecological footprint of all districts and counties in Cha n-gsha City from 2006 to 2015 were calculated by emergetic ecological footpri n-t model, which was modified by economy, science, technology and manpowe r factors, the results from 2016 to 2025 were predicted by GM(1,1)model,the-n the per capita ecological deficit were calculated.According to the findings,p-er capita ecological deficit from 2006 to 2025 presents three change trends:A gradual increase is seen in downtown districts of Furong,Tianxin,Kaifu,Yu el-u and Yuhua; For Changsha county,a relatively stable status is observed,w hi-ch displays no significant increase or decrease, however,Wangcheng district,Ni-ngxiang county and Liuyang city experience a observious change from gra dual increase in earlier stage to decrease in the later stage.Based on this findi ng,Changsha City is divided and classified into ecological red area, ecological yell-ow area and ecological blue area with further analysis of ecological secur ity and ecological footprint structures. The ecological red zone is found to be slig-htly unsafe and its ecological footprint structure is unreasonable and prese nts a-nabatic trend;while the ecological yellow and blue present relative securi ty in ecological aspect and a relatively more balanced structure in ecological f ootprin-t within the researched period. The research conclusions will provide re ference-s for the two-oriented society construction and sustainable development of Cha-ngsha city.
