The centrifugal compressor is a typical speed-type compressor. It has the high exhaust flow, high operating efficiency, simple structure, small volume, stable operation,and medium difficult to pollution. It as been widely used in the fields of petroleum, chemical, metallurgical, power, refrigeration. The safe and stable operation of centrifugal compressors for industrial production has a very important significance.From the characteristics of the centrifugal compressor itself, although there are many advantages, but it also has some shortcomings which inherent and difficult to eliminate, such as surge. Surge is the inherent characteristic of the centrifugal compressor. It is the flow oscillation phenomena as the operating point of the compressor conflict with the compressor's performance and the characteristics of pipe net. Surge will cause the compressor body and core components damaged to different degrees, even a major accident and economic losses. Anti-surge should be a priority problem from the design of compressor to control of it.This article based on the working principle of the centrifugal compressor. It systematically analyses surge characteristics of the compressor,and find out how surge occurred, as well as the factors affecting,and finalized anti-surge control solution of compressor, and focuses on the anti-surge control technology of centrifugal compressor which is commonly used now,and given the internal logic of the core function blocks and program implementation. Finally, it discussed the intelligent extension of anti-surge control and given general design method of fuzzy controller.The ultimate aim of this article is to realize the anti-surge function of compressor. Via debugging the program function on the AB Logix5000 and the RSView32 software platform,and comparing the inlet flow changes with the anti-surge valve opening. The tested anti-surge control function is in line with control requirements,and prevent surge occurred expected.
