Along with the development of electricity market reformation in China, customers improve their requirements for reliability of electric power supply, then fault diagnosis play a more and more important role in this respect. Faced with large amounts of information, how to make the right decisions has become a problem that needs to be resolved urgently for the dispatcher. Because of the causal logic relationship and timing in the fault information, the thesis adopts a method of fault diagnosis based on multi-layer to solve this problem, and the method significantly meets with requires of rapidity and fault tolerance.Inconsistent results get from a scheme of fault diagnosis based on multi-layer is studied in this thesis. A variety of results may be obtained towards different fault information and inference methods. According to practical operation requirements of distribution network, analytic hierarchy process is applied to fault diagnosis decision and ranking. We select theoretical basis, time efficiency and practical aspects as the indexes, and set up the hierarchical structure model to quantity the specific content, then the optimal scheme can be obtained.Fault regulation is studied in the thesis. Various faults occur inevitably in the actual distribution network, and distribution network will also have all kinds of disturbance. Then the operation of the system will change. That is to say, the case will result in abnormal state or no optimization state, and we can control distribution network by taking a fault regulation method aim to keep the balance of supply and demand. The thesis constructs a framework based on multi-agent system according to distribution network from a global perspective, all the agents keep independence and collaborate on a general goal to achieve optimal running state at the extreme.It will raise the decision makers'perception and analytical ability of data and information that the huge fault information of distribution network is displayed in an intuitive vivid visualizing way. The implementation of this part is studied in this thesis that in the fault regulation platform developed by VB.NET language, the power vector graphic is parsed and rendered using the widely used SVG. The converted interactive graphics communicate with the real-time data in database through the platform of ADO.NET. It provides an intuitive display for the fault regulation with the ceaselessly refreshed data.
