Research Of BIM Application Capability Maturity In Construction Project

Construction industry informatization is an important way to achieve the leap development of the industry. After 30 years' development in our country it has entered into a stage of deep application in the construction industry informatization. The current focus is to make various information link through others and form a horizontal and longitudinal interlinked building information network, so as to achieve the purpose of collaborative operation of each link, and of highly integrated and shared information. Building information modeling(BIM) integrates the information of various stages, the elements and each participant of the project life cycle in the same data platform, in order to reach the high integration and coordinated management of the building information and to meet the demands of building informatization. As the promotion of the policy and the needs of the industry, the domestic projects applied with BIM technology are getting more and more. So problems are coming up, like how to evaluate if the application of BIM is mature, and how to improve the application ability of BIM in project. To solve these problems, it is the key to construct maturity model to evaluate the maturity extent of BIM application.Maturity degree describes the project's ability and the improvement direction in the process of implementation, making it repeatedly enhance the ability to complete the project goals in the process of improvement. Maturity model is the evaluation criteria of the maturity. Therefore, for BIM capability maturity model(CMM), it possesses a certain applicability to evaluate on the maturity of BIM application in the implementation of the project to reflect its ability to use. Based on related theory of BIM, building life cycle theory and system theory, this paper, first combined the characteristics of the project and BIM application factors in the construction project, sets up project BIM application system from three aspects: technology, process and value. Second, Based on BIM application system, BIM application maturity evaluation index was established. Third, with maturity model related theory as a guide, the index of maturity level was determined and the definition of each level was described also. And then the index weight based on the information entropy theory was determined. At last, in reference to the evaluation method of BIM maturity in United States BIM standard, evaluation model of maturity is established. Then this paper combined the actual case analysis to verify the availability and accuracy of the model, and through the evaluation result, improvement direction and related suggestions on the case of BIM application are proposed.This research on evaluation of BIM application maturity can effectively improve the project's ability to BIM application. It is of decisive significance that BIM are widely used in our country and that achieve the leap development of the construction industry. As evaluation on BIM is the indispensable part in national standards, this paper is of certain reference value to study on the national standard of BIM.
