Research On Project-level Application Capability Of BIM Technology Based On Maturity Perspective

With the rapid development of national economy and the level of science and technology,the concept of "Internet plus","big data","cloud computing" and "artificial intelligence" have been proposed and perfected.As an effective driving force to the information reform of construction industry,"BIM technology" needed substantial breakthroughs urgently.At present,many scholars in China have aleady carried out theory research of BIM technology,and some major projects have also began to pay attention to its application,but the degree of application of BIM technology in the project has not been effectively quantified,as well as the importance after its introduction.Therefore,the initiative of introduction of BIM technology has been seriously impeded,thus hindering the development of BIM technology in China.In this paper,considering the present development of BIM technology in China,the following aspects are studied:(1)Based on study of the definition of BIM technology at home and abroad,the development of BIM technology,correlated theories and their characteristics have been summarized,which provided fundamental basis for the application of BIM technology in project.(2)After intensive study of the maturity theory model and relevant theories,the possibility and necessity of the combination between BIM technology and capacity maturity model have been discussed,and then,BIM capacity maturity model was developed to measure the application ability of BIM technology in the project.(3)Based on the analysis of the application of BIM technology in the project,internal and external factors,as well as spatial factors were selected to build the application system of BIM technology,which provided theory basis for the establishment of BIM capability maturity model.(4)This paper established the BIM capacity maturity model which is suitable for the development of BIM technology in China,and put forward the evaluation index system of the model,as the basis for evaluating the application ability of BIM.According to the basic theory of maturity model,the BIM capability maturity model was divided into five levels: the initial stage,the growth stage,the improvement stage,the mature stage and the continuous improvement stage.Finally,given the index ability judgment method and combined with the specific case,the practicality of the BIM capacity maturity model proposed in this paper was validated.The evaluation system of the model can objectively evaluate the depth of application of BIM technology in a project and provides support for the development and promotion of BIM technology in China.
