The Design Research Of EPC Construction Management's Workflow And Organization Based On BIM

With the development of science and technology, the projects are getting more and more complex. Traditional projects delivery model already can't meet the demand of the owner. In this case the EPC project delivery model arises at the historic moment. The emergence of building information modeling has brought new change to construction industry. BIM expresses all kinds of building information through model integration, and can modify the model to solve the problem facing the project and risk in the project design phase as far as possible. All the project management processes and organizations of existing EPC project delivery model are formulated and implemented based on the CAD technology, which is not conducive to the fusion of BIM and EPC. So, there needs corresponding researches on improvement of EPC project management processes and organization.This paper mainly studies the following several aspects: first, on the basis of the existing research of experts and scholars on BIM and EPC, this paper analyzed the disadvantages of the existing management process of EPC project in application of BIM technology, and analyzed improvements of the core management process of the EPC project combining with BIM value in accordance with the process theory and the theory of value chain, so as to ensure the advantage of EPC projects based on BIM to be played. Second, according to literature survey method and organization theory, this paper analyzed the shortcomings of the existing EPC structure, decided the design principles of EPC projects organization structure according to organization theory, introduced the process type organization to the EPC projects, built the process-function organization structure according to the theory, illuminated operation mechanism of this new process- function organization structure, and analyzed the relationship between power and responsibility of corresponding personnel in the organizational structure and ability request to them, so as to adapt the smooth implementation and to ensure that the process of EPC project was based on BIM. Then, in order to enable a more scientific evaluation on new organization structure, the article applied the theory of entropy to make quantitative evaluation on the new organization structure from two angles, order degree from the static structure and organizational flexibility degree from dynamic. Finally, the article use some EPC project based on BIM to make case analysis, so as to verify the rationality and feasibility of EPC project management processes and organizational design methods proposed in this thesis.This article combines BIM and EPC project delivery mode for the first time, hoping that this research can offer some references to BIM application in EPC projects, and at the same time make some differences in the domain of the promotion of the BIM technology and the deliveration of EPC projects.
