Researches On The Accident For A Hazardous Chemicals Company Of The Strategies On Risks

In recent years, the import of China’s hazardous chemicals such as crude oil by sea transportation has been increasing. For hazardous chemicals, accidents such as fire hazard and explosion are not uncommon in the process of production, storage, transportation and utilization. These phenomenons necessitate us to seriously carry out researches on risk control in order to grasp rules and reduce disasters and losses.In this thesis, the author takes “the accidents and and risks of the Company A”as subject, through searching for information and field researches, analyzes the accident risks in the management in an all round way and proposes the causes of and the strategies on these accidents.This thesis can be divided into four parts, six chapters. For the first part, from the perniciousness of hazardous chemicals, the author proposes that it is necessary to do risk researches on and control the hazardous chemicals include the background, the purposes, the meanings, the current situations, the ways and the contents of the research. The second part generalizes the current situations of Company A, analyzes the risks that Company A is facing from the aspect of theory by the way of LED, makes a result of the risk categories and the distribution orders of the specific regions from top to low. The third part introduces the 12 historical accidents that happened in Company A, reflecting the direct causes and the basic causes by the way of event tree analysis. By the method of statistic analysis, this part aggregates the basic causes and makes the conclusion that the primary causes of these accidents are the lack of staffs’ responsibilities,the equipment defects in the process of construction, the lack of safety investments, the ignorance of management in specific time and the blames of the relative parts. The fourth part is the researches on strategies. Regarding these shortages and linking theories with practice, the author carries out researches of the safety management currency of Cooperation A, analyzes the conditions and possibilities of the happened accidents and catastrophic accidents that might cause fire hazard or explosion in detail, besides, the author suggests that in the process of future management and engineering construction, measures should be taken regarding of the staff and equipment. In the part of staff, the focus should be the improvement of responsibilities, the specific periods of time and the safety management control of the relative parts; in the part of equipment, the key is to eliminate the hidden dangers, to invest more funds and so on.
