With the rapid development of China’s economy, highway traffic construction is more and more prosperous in china. Especially in the mountainous area and hilly region of our country, the bridge engineering in the throat position in the highway construction process, is the important part of the highway transportation system in these areas. However, due to the lack of knowledge of risk management, lack of management talents, and insufficient attention to risk management in the bridge construction in our country, the bridge construction accidents are frequent.The research relies on the Y bridge engineering project, in Highway bridge pile foundation construction for the study, the Risk assessment theory as a measure, combined with LEC and Index System Method, it researched on the construction safety risk assessment and control management of pile foundation for the Y bridge. The main results are as follows:(1) Based on the existing risk assessment theory, the concept of safety risk assessment method, construction risk source identification and construction safety risk assessment method were given, and the content of Y bridge construction safety risk assessment and the technical route of construction safety risk assessment were determined.(2) The construction safety risk assessment procedure was summarized, and the construction of the pile foundation was carried out, which provided a theoretical guidance for the construction safety risk identification work. Based on the theory and method of risk identification, the risk source of pile foundation for the Y bridge was identified.(3) The pile foundation for the Y bridge construction risk source level was estimated by using the method of LEC, and the risk of the severity of the accident and the possibility of the accident were estimated by using the index system method. The risk of pile foundation accident is high (grade Ⅲ), and the risk control or reduction measures should be adopted;(4) Based on the existing domestic and international risk response strategies, combined with the nature of safety measures, safety isolation or protection, warning or labeling, education and training, etc., for the general risk sources and major risk sources of Y bridge pile foundation construction were put forward the corresponding control measures.
