The frequency of power system is one of the most important operating parameters of the system, and one of the important indexes to measure power quality. It reflects the balance of active power between generation and load, and the transaction of the tie line, and is closely related to the safety and efficiency of the power supply equipment and the majority of users. Modern power grid has developed multiple inter connected system in the composition of the control region. Which is to realize the automatic generation control of interconnected power grid frequency and tie line power control, the control strategy is determined by the control effect. With the rapid construction of various types of clean energy and new power facilities under the background of rapid construction, power generation type and load composition are becoming more and more complex. Combined with the new control performance evaluation standard constraints, the operation control of interconnected power network of each control area is becoming more and more complicated. How to choose the appropriate control strategy for each control area, ensure the quality of power grid frequency, and can realize the regional economic operation of power grid. This paper studies and discusses this problem.This article expounds the relevant theory of frequency adjustment and automatic generation control of interconnected power network. The principles and calculation methods of three kinds of control performance evaluation standards (including A, the north American CPS and domestic class CPS standards) are described and analyzed in detail. And then, the similarities and differences of CPS standard between China and North America are discussed.Selects three kinds of domestic AGC control strategy based on the CPS standards- "the number and frequency deviation of AGC strategy", "AGC control strategy based on frequency offset the expected", "the AGC control strategy based on load forecasting" Through the theoretical basis and mechanism and focus of analysis, summarize the control characteristics of three strategies.Using Simulink toolbox in MATLAB software, the simulation model of interconnected power system is established, and the effect of different AGC control strategies is compared. Through the simulation analysis, proves the control characteristics of AGC control strategy, combined with the theory analysis and simulation results, summed up the control range of each strategy.In this paper, the applicable scope of each control strategy is determined, which provides a reliable and useful basis for the control strategy.
