Study On The Evaluation Index System Of Traditional Villages In Jiangxi Province

Traditional villages are valuable historical and cultural heritage, known as folk cultural “ Museum ”, “ living fossil”, expressing rural history and culture. But traditional villages is disappearing at an alarming rate nowadays, so we must step up protection efforts to make reservations the heritage of culture, civilization, mine multiple levels historical and cultural value of traditional villages, control the sharp dropping rate. Implementation of the diversity assessment system is the valid approach to increase protection levels. There is single national evaluation criteria system now, little accurately and directly response to the different traditional village in different areas and diversities. Thus we should implement regional and scientific evaluation index system of traditional villages quickly.We focus on the traditional village in Jiangxi province in order to set an evaluation index system of traditional villages. First, we conclude the research progress about the assessment of historical and cultural heritage both at home and abroad, discuss the theory related to traditional villages and evaluation methods, do the analysis of the existing village-related evaluation index systems, and summarize the evaluation process and the advantages and disadvantages, for giving a reference about building an evaluation system of Jiangxi provincial traditional villages. Meanwhile, analyzed the types and characteristics of traditional village in Jiangxi province, and taken the study sample, we will set an evaluation index system of Jiangxi provincial traditional villages. Last, we will find several examples to test the evaluation index system, and according to the selected instance, to determine the standard of traditional village hierarchy.We establish evaluation index system with adding prominent geographic features of the evaluation factors on the premise of comprehensive analysis of regional characteristics. Meanwhile we strengthen the rationality of the evaluation system, and set the grading standards of traditional village initially to protect traditional village.
